    Discover the world of Andreola and Valdobbiadene DOCG, in a first hand experience learn the secrets and minute details of the work that takes place in the cellar every day in order to make our wines “HEROIC”

    You can choose from three packets (not cumulative) which will permit you to explore the world of Andreola in different forms and modalities.

    • The visits take place during the opening hours of the Wine Shop
    • Languages spoken: Italian, English and German
    • The temperature in the cellars is approx 10°C (50°F) all year so dress suitably
    • Four legged friends are not allowed in the cellars but they are welcome in the Wine Shop

    Our BASIC package is for those who wish to explore the world of Andreola and learn the secrets of the Valdobbiadene DOCG hills through a visit to our Experience Room, followed by guided tasting of five wines: ideal for couples or groups curious to find out more about this territory and this winery, standard bearer for heroic viticulture!

    • Visit with guide to the Experience Room, a new area that completes and enhances Andreola’s Eroica Store wine shop, where you can relax with a heroic aperitif while (re)discovering the Valdobbiadene DOCG territory in three dimensions;
    • Guided tasting of five wines from the Andreola Valdobbiadene DOCG line, served with light savoury snacks;
    • Shopping in the Eroico Store Wine Shop, where all Andreola wines can be purchased with a 5% discount.

    • Guided tour of the winery, focussing on the processes of vinification, second fermentation and bottling;
    • Visit with guide to the Experience Room, a new area that completes and enhances Andreola’s Eroica Store wine shop, where you can relax with a heroic aperitif while (re)discovering the Valdobbiadene DOCG territory in three dimensions;
    • Guided tasting of five wines from the Andreola Valdobbiadene DPCG line, served with light savoury snacks;

    The PLUS package is suitable for the visitor who wants to spend half a day in the wonderful world of Valdobbiadene DOCG, with a guided tour of the winery followed by a lunch of typical local specialities, the best of the Veneto cuisine, specially chosen to complement Andreola wines.

     

    The visit PLUS includes:

    • Guided tour of the winery, focussing on the processes of vinification, second fermentation and bottling;

    Always heroic

    Valdobbiadene DOCG is a wine which is literally “hand made”: only by careful, exhausting, daily manual labour is it possible to cultivate vineyards on these steep hills. For this reason the viticulture and Valdobbiadene DOCG are defined “heroic”.
    Heroic is the work in this context of production which has always priviledged the smaller family dimension, and which over the centuries has modified the landscape rendering it unique obtaining a wine capable of conquering the world.

    Andreola wanted to make this aspect one of his strong points, by becoming the first producer to enrol as a member of Cervim in 2010 (centre for research, study and promotion of mountain viticulture) and by supporting and promoting mountain viticulture in every press statement by the estate.

    Cervim is an international organisation created in 1987 with the specific aim to promote and safeguard the “heroic” viticulture, defining the criteria which identify it, amongst which are terrain with slopes superior to 30% and systems of viticulture on terraces and steps.

    In order to create a specific identity, Cervim has elaborated, created and registered at European level a collective trademark of participation denominated “Heroic Viticulture” which identifies the wines comprised in this definition.

  • Valdobbiadene DOCG

    Denomination of Controlled and Guaranteed Origin

    Valdobbiadene DOCG, with its fruity and floral aromas, is the most well known and sought after Charmat method sparkling wine in the world. Its history begins more than three centuries ago on the hills of Valdobbiadene and Conegliano. Since 2009 Valdobbiadene Docg has been identified as the Denomination of Controlled and Guaranteed Origin (DOCG), the highest designation of quality for Italian wine, alongside the DOCG Asolo and DOC Prosecco, extended over 9 provinces of Veneto and Friuli Venezia Giulia. The production area of Valdobbiadene Docg, which extends over only 15 municipalities, is therefore a patch of hilly territory that represents the heart of the Prosecco Superiore world and the top of its production and quality pyramid.

    Unique characteristics from a single vineyard

    Valdobbiadene DOCG is a sparkling wine which, thanks to its informal and refined character, has exported a new style of drinking all over the world. It is produced exclusively on the hills of Valdobbiadene, using mainly Glera grapes and a small percentage of minor local varietals. The maximum yield permitted per hectare is 13.5 quintals thus guaranteeing the maintenance of balance between vine, terrain and climate. The different cuvee are obtained by a clever combination of the grapes coming from various micro zones in the area, each one capable of giving to the wine unique characteristics which are expressed in different levels of sweetness—Brut, Extra Dry and Dry, from the lowest to the highest percentage of residual sugar.
